I’m using Ubuntu 7.10. I downloaded the RHEL 5 display driver (174.55) associated with the CUDA 2.0 Beta release. The RHEL 5 package seems compatible with Ubuntu 7.10 as the driver compiled and installed correctly. However, I notice that when I open new windows (I’m using gdm) that very briefly, the contents of the window is filled with garbage, like an uninitialized framebuffer. The window is then redrawn properly by the application. Has anybody else seen this problem?
I second that. I experience this as well. My system is ubuntu 8.04 rc
