"Process creation failure" on Arch linux

Launch failure: Process creation failure
Launch failed.

I have already tried most of the options from the forums.
Reinstalling nsight graphics, updating drivers and others.
When using LD_PRELOAD c
libNomad.Injection.so
The application freezes after a few seconds (some write that there is not enough memory),
I also checked with libNvda.Graphics.Interception.so the application does not freeze but it is not in the list of connections.

System:
OS: Arch Linux
Kernel: x86_64 Linux 6.11.1-zen1-1-zen
Nvidia Driver: 560.35.03

Hi mstrizhac,

Thank you for using Nsight Graphics and providing your feedback. We are sorry for any inconvenience you have encountered.

To ensure your target system is properly set up, could you try to launch a simple bundled app within Nsight Graphics? Click: Help → Samples → vk_raytrace, and launch the bundled app. If it works, the issue likely isn’t with your system configuration. To identify the problem, could you please provide a simple example that would allow us to reproduce the issue? This will help us in investigating and resolving the problem more efficiently.

Thanks
An

I am sorry, but there no Samples button under Help menu

Hi mstrizhac,

I am sorry that I forget that you are on Arch Linux, Nsight Graphics on Linux doesn’t have Samples button.

The idea is the same, maybe you can take some try with some standard graphics app like vkcube, check whether it can be launched with Nsight Graphics as expected.

Thanks
An

Same problem with vkcube it launches but nsight progress log window gives this error

Hi mstrizhac,

That looks like due to something else, could you please take some check:

  • Your driver is installed properly (I mean Nvidia driver is installed properly).
  • Can you run nvidia-smi smoothly and see the expected output?
  • If possible, could you take some try on another machine?

Thanks
An

I think the driver installed correctly
I’m using asusctl(For MUX switch), is it possible that this is the problem?

Output from nvidia-smi.

I don’t have the opportunity to run it on another machine, but I can say that everything worked previously on Windows on the same machine

Hi mstrizhac,

Your output of nvidia-smi looks correct. I am not sure whether it’s due to asusctl, it’s hard to say. But when do you meet such error? Your kernel looks new, does the same issue happen in some old kernal?

We have tried vkcube on an in-house Arch Linux which is using linux-lts 6.6.38-1 kernel, Nsight Graphics works fine on that system.

Thanks
An

I haven’t used nsight before, i have nothing to say about old kernel. I tried switching kernel to latest linux-lts kernel, but the problem did not go away
