Reflected Water Caustics challenge

Appreciate any feedback in solving this lighting challenge!
I need to light an interior environment entirely using reflected water caustics.
In the attached I have the lighting effect I need (circled in green) but I need to disable the influence of the Spotlight on the water and underlying pool bottom geometry. (circled in magenta) I tried using Lighting Channels but doesn’t seem to work.
Is there any way to achieve this?

Hi Bach, you can clamp water caustics both reflective and refractive ray distance in order to ONLY render one of them, if the ray distance is not enough, it will not reach the expected surface.
