Hi all,
New to linux, so hoping this has a straightforward solution. Thanks in advance!
I have freshly installed Ubuntu 24.04 (system info copied below) and installed drivers (nvidia-driver-535) for a RTX 4060. lspci -v | grep VGA
finds both the GPU and onboard GPU:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation AD107 [GeForce RTX 4060] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
10:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Raphael (rev c3) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
More info lspci -v -s 01:00.0
:

Kernel driver in use: nvidia
Kernel modules: nvidiafb, nouveau, nvidia_drm, nvidia
However, nvidia-smi
returns No devices were found
, corroborating that the System Details lists the iGPU under ‘Graphics’. Probably related is that I am only able to boot with the monitor HTMI attached to the motherboard, not the GPU directly.
In searching online I have seen some suggestions (not sure at all if these are even remotely relevant) which I have tried with no effect: SecureBoot disabled, resizeBar disabled, fastboot disabled, blacklisting neoveau.
Here are the logs: nvidia-bug-report.log.gz (150.2 KB). Happy to provide any more information which might be useful.
