Recently i bought a laptop ASUS TUF Gaming A15 FA506QR and can’t get working laptop monitor when Nvidia 460.39 driver installed.
So to clarify what is going on:
- when installed clear Ubuntu 20.04 the laptop monitor works perfectly but connected external monitor by type-c not.
- then when i installed Nvidia 460.39 driver and reboot, the laptop monitor freezes with cursor on the top left corner (not blinking) but the external monitor works.nvidia-bug-report.log.gz (370.2 KB)
Done all described here
Looks like something is changed, laptop monitor is not freezing but just turning off.

Please delete /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Thank you a lot @generix !)
So the solution is to remove the xorg.conf when you done all the described here
Does the power management work properly with this laptop? In the documentation it talks about cofeelake chipsets or higher but does not mention AMD.
The question has nothing to do with the problem but it is something that is not clear to me.
