Simple Water Material for Water Caustics

The Water Material Blueprint in the Water Caustics demo (WaterBody_BPO) is quite complicated.
Is it necessary to use this Blueprint for water caustics support, or is it possible to create a simplified water material that would support the water caustics feature?

EPIC’s water plugin with single layer water is well supported in 5.2. For legacy interactive water that is made with translucency material mesh and scene capture component, please tag the flag in mesh,material, and lights. For single layer material, no mesh flag is needed. Basically, no specific requirement for the water types.
