SN2010 PTP

Hi All,

I’m trying to configure PTP on my SN2010 switch. I have 10 devices that need to receive PTP from the switch, which is set up to act as a boundary clock. Additionally, I have one device serving as the Grand Master clock.

Using PTP Trackhound, I can see that my Grand Master device is correctly identified as the Grand Master. However, the SN2010 switch does not seem to accept this and also attempts to act as the Grand Master. The port on the SN2010 switch connected to the Grand Master device is showing as “Master” when I believe it should be “Slave,” since the port should be acting as a slave to the Grand Master clock connected to it.

There is no way to force the port to act as a slave, it’s automatic, and I have no control over this.

Does anyone have any insights? I’ve read through all the documentation multiple times, and have tried everything I can find

Many Thanks,
Pete
