Spark will not work in recovery mode

I plugged my spark into a new surge protector i bought and unplugged the wrong cord by accident while it was on and now i am having a hard time booting it up. When i tried to turn it back on it took a while to boot and then i was at login page where i signed in. login screen came up again but this time my keys didnt work. After that, it booted into emergency/recovery mode.
Filesystem checks were triggered.
Now it boots past kernel but does not start the graphical interface — I get either emergency mode or a black screen with a blinking cursor.
I can reach GRUB and recovery mode and root shell.
The GPU driver messages appear during boot (nvidia-persistenced starts).
I have not reinstalled the OS.
I have not formatted anything.
I need guidance on completing filesystem and display manager recovery for DGX Linux.

i can get to the recovery menu but everytime i try to run anything it drops me into a black screen that says press enter for maintenance or press control d to continue

Hi @heathbeavers

A fresh OS installation might be helpful. Please check out the guidance here if you need to reinstall OS Reimaging the System — NVIDIA DGX OS 7 User Guide
