System freezes if certain monitor is connected through Display Port: 4080 Super - 570.124.04

After Fedora updated my akmod driver to 570 i noticed that the system would boot into a black screen. I did some troubleshooting and i realized that it only happened if a certain monitor in my multi-monitor setup was connected to the GPU, either when booting or when plugged in mid-session. The whole system becomes unresponsive and the only thing i can do is a hard reset. It’s a 1440p, 180hz freesync monitor, and my other ones are cheap 1080p 60hz ones. I’ve changed every possible setting inside the monitor and could not find anything that i could change that would fix the problem. The monitor in question will not freeze the system if plugged in through the HDMI port instead however, nor will any of the other monitors using the display ports. The system also runs fine when the monitor is plugged into the motherboard display port instead of the GPU.

I wish i knew how to provide more relevant information from my logs, so please tell me how and i’ll share it.

Monitor in question:
AOC 27 inch Q27G3XMN 1440P gaming monitor

My problem seems very similar to what people are reporting in this thread. But the thread is several years old and i dont know how relevant it is to my current problem.

I had the same problem. The good news is at least for me 570.133.07 fixed it.
