Unable to display on DP monitor via MST board

Hi Nvidia:
We are using AGX Orin 64GB Module on a custom board. In our system, we use DP as the output interface to the MST board, and the MST board will connect 1 HDMI and 1DP out, as the diagram shown:

However, for some DP monitors, it’s not able to display anything. It will only display when we attached an EDID simulator, as shown in the diagram:

If we use X86 PC as the DP in source, the issue is no more. As a result, we think it might be some issues between EDID and AGX ORIN?

These are the EDID from DP monitor and EDID Simulator:

Hi @jameskuo

Is it possible to isolate and simplify the environment first?

For example, does that HDMI monitor there matter in reproducing issue?

Hi Wayne:
Thanks for the reply.
The HDMI monitor is fixed in our system. If the issue is solved by removing the HDMI monitor, we still need to figure out how to enable it.

Still, we will do further more testing to check if it will causing the issue or not.

Many thanks.

Let me explain this directly. Actually this is unlikely to resolve a display issue with such information.

You must create an environment to reproduce this issue on NV devkit and share us such method.
