I am working in an Orin NX based custom carrier board. The L4T version i am using is L4T35.4.1. The board was working fine then suddenly it became non functional. I tried to mount the SSD in my PC and able to access the RootFS from my PC. Then i tried to flash the SSD again by mounting it in the custom carrier board but i am unable to flash it. I have attached the flash log and bootloader log for your reference. Any help would be appreciated.

Based on the provided context, I’ll attempt to provide a comprehensive answer to the question.
It appears that you are working with a custom carrier board based on the Jetson Orin NX module, and you are experiencing issues with flashing the SSD. You have tried to mount the SSD in your PC and were able to access the RootFS, but when you tried to flash the SSD again by mounting it in the custom carrier board, you were unable to do so.
To troubleshoot this issue, let’s break down the possible causes and compare them with the provided context:
- L4T version: You are using L4T version 35.4.1, which is a relatively recent version. However, it’s essential to ensure that you are using the correct version of the L4T for your Jetson Orin NX module.
- Flash script log and bootloader log: You have attached the flash script log and bootloader log for reference. These logs may provide valuable information about the flashing process and any errors that occurred during the process.
- Custom carrier board: Since you are using a custom carrier board, it’s possible that there are issues with the board’s design or configuration that are preventing the flashing process from completing successfully.
- SSD mounting: You were able to mount the SSD in your PC and access the RootFS, which suggests that the SSD is functional and the issue lies with the flashing process.
Comparing your situation with the provided context, we can see that there are several topics related to flashing and booting issues on Jetson devices. For example:
- Using flash.sh with Orin NX and Nano: This topic provides a process for using flash.sh with Orin NX and Nano, which may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.
- Enabling AGX Orin, Orin NX, and Orin Nano in USB3 Recovery Mode: This topic provides a process for enabling AGX Orin, Orin NX, and Orin Nano in USB3 Recovery Mode, which may be relevant if you need to recover your device.
- Copy And Flash Jetson Orin with Jetpack 6.2: This topic provides information on copying and flashing Jetson Orin with Jetpack 6.2, which may be helpful if you are using a similar setup.
To resolve your issue, I would recommend the following steps:
- Verify the L4T version: Ensure that you are using the correct version of the L4T for your Jetson Orin NX module.
- Check the flash script log and bootloader log: Analyze the logs to identify any errors or issues that occurred during the flashing process.
- Verify the custom carrier board design: Review the custom carrier board design to ensure that it is compatible with the Jetson Orin NX module and that there are no issues with the board’s configuration.
- Try using a different flashing method: If you are using flash.sh, try using a different flashing method, such as using the SDK Manager or the flash tool provided by NVIDIA.
- Seek additional support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider seeking additional support from NVIDIA or a qualified developer community.
In summary, the issue you are experiencing with flashing the SSD on your custom carrier board based on the Jetson Orin NX module may be related to the L4T version, custom carrier board design, or flashing process. By verifying the L4T version, analyzing the flash script log and bootloader log, and trying different flashing methods, you may be able to resolve the issue. If not, seeking additional support from NVIDIA or a qualified developer community may be necessary.

I also tried to using the SOM and SSD in an Orin NX developer kit and encountered the same issue.
There is no update from you for a period, assuming this is not an issue anymore.
