Every time that I connect a USB-C external display the entire OS (fedora 34, 5.11.19-300.fc34.x86_64) froze using nvidia drivers 460.80 (lenovo legion 7 AMD RTX 3080 laptop).
Going back to “NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-460.73.01.run” fixes the issue
Update:
Just tried with 465.27-1.fc34 (present in akmod-nvidia rpm fusion) and the issue is there too.

Just tested the NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-465.31, but no luck, still freeze when a usb-c screen is plugged

Thanks for sharing @ciberhormaza, that helped me get around the same issue. ThinkPad P1 Gen 2 froze when plugging in a Dell Ultrawide 38 in Ubuntu 21.04 when the 460.80 driver was in play. I reverted to 450 (the GUI for such things in Ubuntu didn’t let me downgrade in smaller chunks) and the problem was gone.

Seems like it’s fixed in the 470.57.02.
