We observed frame drops on our three USB cameras whenever Wi-Fi is enabled. The Wi-Fi module is connected via PCIe, while the cameras use USB interfaces.
We have attempted CPU core binding, core isolation, and scheduling priority tuning, yet none of these measures resolved the issue. this may not be a scheduling issue.
After enabling xhci_usb logs, we found that frames appear to be actively discarded by the USB hardware controller. Why does the PCIe Wi-Fi interfere with USB cameras?
The issue occurs consistently upon repeated testing. Please let me know what further information I need to collect.
