Hi,
I am integrating a Sony IMX586 MIPI CSI-2 camera with the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit (P3767 module + P3768 carrier board).
The IMX586 module requires the XCLR signal to be held LOW during power-up. After all sensor power rails are stable and MCLK is supplied, XCLR should be driven HIGH for normal operation.
We are considering connecting the IMX586 XCLR signal to Pin 6 (CAM_PWDN) of the P3768 camera connector.
Can CAM_PWDN on the P3768 be configured as a GPIO and reliably controlled by the camera driver/device tree to provide the following sequence?
- CAM_PWDN = LOW during sensor power-up
- Sensor power rails become stable
- MCLK is supplied
- CAM_PWDN = HIGH to release XCLR and start the sensor
I would also like to confirm whether CAM_PWDN uses 1.8 V logic on the P3768 and whether using this signal as reset-gpios in the camera device tree is an appropriate implementation.
The camera module manufacturer is considering this solution to avoid requiring an additional custom interposer board.
Thank you.
