.vdb files in Omniverse USD Composer

Hi, I created a Vec3SGrid using pyopenvdb, and mapped the srgb code to a vector value to create a vdb file with different colors for each voxel at each index. Then I created an OmniVolumeDensity material in the USD Composer environment and applied the .vdb file, nothing happened.

  1. When I import this vdb file in Blender, the colors are loaded without error, and this problem only occurs in the USD Composer environment.

  2. If I create a single-color vdb with only density using FloatGrid and import it into the USD Composer environment, it works fine.

Does anyone know where this problem comes from and how to solve it?
Or if the way I’m doing it is not possible, is it possible to load the FloatGrid vdb into Composer and then post-process it to fit arbitrary values?

It sounds like you want to install our specific VDB, CFD renderer called RTX Scientific. You can find it in the Extension Manager. It handles complex volumes a lot better.
