I use the vtk 5.8 libraries as part of a 3d rendering application. It has worked without issue until I tried to use it with the GTX Titan card. One of the renderers, “vtkOpenGLGPUVolumeRayCastMapper” does not work with the Titan card. I get a black screen where the volume should be rendered and a message “Loading the streamed block FAILED!!!”. This renderer has worked with all 600 series and below Nvidia GPUs. Does anyone have any information about changes to OpenGL or its drivers that may have caused this renderer to stop working? I would like to continue to use vtk 5.8, as the application is very mature and would require a huge effort to port to the newer vtk version.
