Want to buy Minimal Hardware for Robotics with GR00T framework in mind for R&D

Dear Sir,Madam,
I would like to get into Robotics and Humanoid development using NVIDIA Dev Kits, My question is

  1. If I buy NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Devlopment kit now; will I be able to work on GROOT framework on this kit?
  2. Will NVIDIA provide support atleast to a minimal extent for experimenting on GR00T framework and R&D for this Dev Kit
    I am posting this question as I do not have a full understanding of GR00T framework at present but would eventtually work on it with the existing hardware I would have bought i.e NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Devlopment kit

Hi @log.vnprasad, Project GR00T is under R&D and production framework for it is not yet defined, however it being foundational models for embodied agent targeting Thor, my initial take is that is that 8GB memory would be too low. However I would not let that stop you from getting started today with experimenting with genAI at the edge, local LLMs, and multimodal agents - some of the smaller models (like SLMs) will fit on Orin Nano:
