Why can't I see the 'Top Stall' and 'Live Register' sections in the shader source?

I am currently using the latest version of Nsight (2025.5.0), but the “Top Stall” and “Live Register” items do not appear. When I tested with a sample project, the result was the same. I remember using these features before, so I checked previous versions: in 2025.4, “Live Register” is missing, and in 2025.3, both items are visible.

And one difference I noticed is that the “languages” items have decreased as the version was updated.

Why would this happen?

Hi dave8965,

Thank you for using Nsight Graphics and providing your feedback. We are sorry for any inconvenience you have encountered.

I can see the “Top Stall” missing in my machine, but the “Live Register” always works here. Could you please provide a simple example that would allow us to reproduce the issue? This will help us in investigating and resolving the problem more efficiently.

Thanks
An

The same issue persisted even when using the included vk_meshlet_cadscene. Could this be a problem with my installation environment?

Hi dave8965,

Thanks for your reply. We also do some check on our side, it seems the “Top Stall missing” is a known issue and already has been fixed, the next release of Nsight Graphics will have that.

“Live Register” always works fine in my local machine. Does this happen on vk_meshlet_cadscene (the bundled sample within Nsight Graphics) in your machine?

Thanks
An

The vk meshlet scene in my previous response was a sample scene (bundle scene) found in the Help menu.

Hi Dave8965,

That’s really weird since Live Register looks OK in my test machine (591.xx + RTX 4080 + Ngfx 2025.5). What’s your detail steps to get the empty ‘Live Registers’, I tried in both Frame Debugger and GPUTrace activity and they look both fine.

Thanks
An

I don’t see either frame debugger or gpu trace on my device. Maybe it’s my device problem.

I’m also facing the same issue, with 2025.5 the Live registers column is empty but with 2025.3 it isn’t.

Setup:
Windows 11 x64
RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell

Hi guys,

Thanks for your patient, I finally find the key for reproduce the missing of ‘Live Registers’ column, and I will do some internal check.

Thanks
An
