WiFi disconnecting, bug?

Hi,

I am using an Orin AGX Development kit, connected to both ethernet and wifi (two different networks). The ethernet connection has no WAN access (it’s only used to connect to some ethernet cameras) while the WiFi has WAN which allows me to connect to it remotely via VPN. I am using the built in WiFi adapter and it has full signal strength.

My problem is that twice in a row now (over the course of 3 months) the WiFi connection is lost and never reconnected even though the WiFi network is functioning. Last time I had to send an employee over to ssh locally and remove/add the connection again using ubuntu network manager, which is obviously not going to work in the long run for us.

Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

EDIT:

Maybe there is a problem where the ethernet connection gets priority over the wifi if it disconnects for a second, is there any way I can make sure that the WiFi is used for WAN access as soon as it reconnects?

Sorry for the late response.
Is this still an issue to support? Any result can be shared?

Hi, the problem persists. It does not seem to have anything to do with the ethernet connection as the behaviour is the same without it. The WiFi drops randomly and does not reconnect even though the network is visible, a reboot is required to make it connect again.

I have exactly the same issue. Jetson Orin AGX 64GB Developer kit, with Jetpack 6. Infuriating.
Looking on the internet, I see many people have this issue.

Nvidia, are you going to help us, or shall we just return the devices?

@kayccc Same issue, reboot is what it takes to connect again. Jetpack 5.1.2_rt patch. Is there any support for this or just leave the thread hanging ?

Hi,
Please share the steps to replicate the issue on AGx Orin developer kit. We will set up 5.1.3 and check.
