WIndows 10 CUDA installation failure solved

In my case, latest CUDA toolkit was not compatible with the NVIDIA driver version. I downgraded the toolkit version to match my driver and it worked.

You can find the compatibility details in the release notes:

And here:

disable the VSE and Nsight packages these are for visual studio also i was getting this error and i solved it by disabling them

Confirm that also deselecting VSE and Nsight allowed the install to complete successfully.

Confirm that this works! Thanks!

That helped, thanks!

Disabling the thing that “Failed” is worked for me. The issue was with the “Nsight Compute” for me. So just see what failed and then uncheck that box and try again.

Worked for win10, cuda toolkit 12.3. Thanks.

2024,win 11.cuda 12.4.1
i just disabled all nsight packages . and it worked
if not work disable visual studio integration too.
thanks all.

I got the same error with cuda_12.5.0_555.85_windows.exe. I found next solution:

Start reinstall cuda_12.5.0_555.85_windows.exe. At the end I got all installed:

windows 11, worked without NVIDIA Nsight Systems-related packages

uncheck VSI and Nsight under CUDA under custom install and it passed

For me, I just had everything enabled except the non-main stuff for CUDA under Custom Install i.e.

  1. Nsight VSE
  2. Visual Studio Integration
  3. Nsight System
  4. Nsight Compute
