In my case, latest CUDA toolkit was not compatible with the NVIDIA driver version. I downgraded the toolkit version to match my driver and it worked.

disable the VSE and Nsight packages these are for visual studio also i was getting this error and i solved it by disabling them
Confirm that also deselecting VSE and Nsight allowed the install to complete successfully.

Disabling the thing that “Failed” is worked for me. The issue was with the “Nsight Compute” for me. So just see what failed and then uncheck that box and try again.

For me, I just had everything enabled except the non-main stuff for CUDA under Custom Install i.e.
