X86 workstation HW requirements

Hello,

I’m building an x86 workstation to use with Nvidia Holoscan SDKs for development and I’d like to verify that the hardware configuration I plan to have is sufficient.

• GPU: Will an RTX4000 ada allow me to use all the features of the SDK?
• PCIe: Does the GPU need to be in a x16 slot for RDMA to function properly, or is x8 enough?

Any recommendations or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @dimitris5,
While there is no support for x86 workstations in general, I do not see why the rtx4000Ada card should not work.
For RDMA compatibility see GPUDirect RDMA, and supported systems
