Xavier Devkit: Max 2.5Gbps on MIPI CSI?

Hi, I was reading the Jetson_AGX_Xavier_Developer_Kit_Carrier_Board_Specification_SP-09778-001_v2.1 document. On Page 21 it says:

“Note: Due to the CSI routing length on the carrier board and the additional connector between the module and the end device, D-PHY mode is supported only up to 1.5 Gbps”

Does this mean that NVIDIA recommends using 1.5Gbps cameras instead of full 2.5Gbps with the carrier? Is this a problem still present in the latest versions of the carrier?
