Hi all, I have an Asus GL753VD notebook with GeForce GTX 1050 card. I tried everything but the newest NVidia driver is not working under Debian / Arch Linux. I have to downgrade to 4.9.85 Linux kernel and use 375.82 (edit: now 390.25) driver if I want to use my GPU and it has to be always turned on… Please do something, now I can’t use my notebook for developing, because some libraries are not supporting my old NVidia driver.
If I install a newer driver, I only get a black boot screen with a flashing cursor and my fan is starting to work on 100%, but it is pushing out only cold air.
Edit: problem is probably with Linux kernel and not only with NVidia driver
