4k@120hz over HDMI flickers / distorted image on RTX 4080 Super

Hello,
when i connect my TV to my RTX 4080 Super, and set it to 4k with 120hz it flickers, then disconnects, then reconnects and starts flickering again. (See the attached Video to see how it looks)

This happens on Wayland and X11 alike, also Gnome/KDE makes no difference.
When using a lower resolution and/or refresh rate the tv works normal.

The TV is a Samsung GQ55Q95TCTXZG

System Information:
Fedora (nobara) 42, Kernel 6.14 (6.14.8-200.nobara.fc42.x86_64)
DisplayServer: Wayland
Desktop: KDE
GPU: RTX 4080 Super
Nvidia Driver: 570.153.02

To confirm it’s not a hardware/TV issue i tried the following setups aswell:

  • TV Connected to AMD Ryzen 7800x3D iGPU with HDMI (Mainboard Port) on Linux → Works
  • TV Connected to RTX 4080 Super with DisplayPort-to-HDMI-Adapter on Linux → Works
  • TV Connected to RTX 4080 Super on Windows 11 → Works

I also tried multiple combinations of HDR/VRR settings in KDE, but had no luck either
