I have designed my own carrier board and have used a Jeston NX xavier with intel AC 8265 wifi module. However I am seeing wifi temperature reaching between 95 to 120 degree C but the CPU temperature was 72 degree C at that time
Does anyone why wifi temperature reaching 120 degree C ? How to reduce this temperature to nominal value?
Can I use heatsink on Wifi module, since there is plastic cover on that which includes wifi details ?
Kindly suggest me what to do for this. Thanks in advance
Hi Trumany,
Thanks for the reply,
Its our own designed carrier board by referencing Nvidia design files and everything is working well. The only problem is AC 8625 wifi module over heating. We have been using this setup more than 5 years among the 100 boards.
As I said earlier the CPU temperature was in with in limits 72 degree C but the wifi temperature reaching 115 degree C.
The below commands I used to see the temperature :
cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone*/type
output:
CPU-therm
GPU-therm
AUX-therm
AO-therm
PMIC-Die
thermal-fan-est
iwlwifi : Is it real the wifi module temperature?
cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone*/temp
Please kindly let me know how to reduce the wifi temperature.
It is out of our support range. You are responsible for handling the wifi module overheat issue. I don’t think there is a thermal zone for wifi module.
