Assets locally saved from Nucleus randomly load materials (if Nucleus is closed)

Hey Nvidia-Team,

I’ve used the Nucleus Server to create a Warehouse and collected Assets like Shelves and Pallets. I saved those files normally and flattened, aswell as Collect assets (flattened + USD Collection). When saved as Collect Assets I have all the textures and Materials in a Subfolder and I reassured that missing Materials are inside the folder. Though randomly and almost only have of some assets are not loading materials.

Here are some examples with Nucleus OFF (logged out and turned off)

I’ve saved a shelf from Simplewarehouse asset from Nucleus as a .usd.

I get following errors:

I’ve also done the same but before closing the nucleus I’ve saved as: Collect Assets which loaded the materials: It was not loading.

Now I wanted to create a double Shelf with boxes and pallets (nucleus still off) as a simple saved usd (not collecting assets):
This time it was loading.

Though the other time around first didn’t load the half and filling in the same file gave me other material errors with files not getting loaded and suggesting syntax error:
MI_Ceiling_A_06b_1.mdl can not be loaded. Are there syntax errors?

Can you give me a workflow on how to download from Nucleus and being Nucleus independent afterwards? I have some issues with Nucleus from time to time and this is needed for my work.

Hi @bay2 - Can you confirm following things:

  1. Isaac Sim version that you are using
  2. Content pack folder from which you are accessing these assets

thank you for helping me out.
I use Isaac Sim Version 2023.1.1
and I got the content from the Nucleus,
omniverse://localhost/NVIDIA/Assets/Isaac/2023.1.1/Isaac/Environments/Simple_Warehouse/
in this folder I’ve used full_warehouse.usd , aswell as warehouse_multiple_shevles.usd

Can you check if the error still persists on 4.0?
