Assistance Needed: Jetson Orin Nano Not Booting on First Attempt, Exhausted Micro SD Card Options

Hello fellow forum members,

I recently acquired a new Jetson Orin Nano and have encountered an issue where the device refuses to boot on its first attempt. I’ve attempted several troubleshooting steps using a micro SD card, but unfortunately, I have yet to achieve a successful boot. I would greatly appreciate any assistance or suggestions you can provide to help resolve this problem.

Here is a summary of the steps I’ve taken so far:

  1. Double-checked all power connections to ensure they are secure.
  2. Formatted a micro SD card to FAT32 and verified that it meets the recommended specifications.
  3. Flashed the micro SD card with the latest JetPack software image.
  4. Carefully inserted the micro SD card into the appropriate slot on the Jetson Orin Nano.
  5. Powered on the device and waited for an extended period, but it failed to boot.

I have repeated these steps multiple times with no success. The LED lights on the Jetson Orin Nano indicate that power is reaching the device, but I am unable to proceed beyond this point.

Are there any additional troubleshooting steps I should attempt? Is there a possibility that I may be missing something crucial in the process? Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
Rohit Singh

Sorry for the late response, have you managed to get issue resolved or still need the support? Thanks

Hi,

did you follow this guide to flash the SD card?

If that’s the case, please try again with SDK Manger, and put the flashing log and the UART log if the device fails to boot after flashing.

hii,

thanks for reply i follow every NVIDIA instruction for flashing the sd card or booting the jetson orin nano, but nothing hepls please help me out.

Hi,

so you flashed the SD card with SDK Manager but still failed?
Please put the flashing log and UART log here.
Just ask if you don’t know how to prepare them.
