Boot stuck at pcie enumeration with NVMe

Hi,

I have 1TB NVMe (Vendor ID1344: Device ID 6001) is connected to PCIe C5 via PFX 48X switch. The boot stuck at Enumeration of C5 PCIe controller. This happens particularly with the 1TB NVMe only. If I use 480GB NVMe, the device successfully boots and lspci shows the device properly. The same 1TB NVMe works well with Jetpack 4.6 (Tegra 4.9.253) but not with Jetpack 5.0.2. Can anyone please help me understand what can be wrong and what can be probable solution? The list of PCIe driver changes is big.

Please note that PCIe switch firmware and configuration are same for Jetpack 4.6 and Jetpack 5.0.2

Are you able to test this without using the pcie switch? For example, put this nvme to devkit to test.

The same nvme works on devkit, but when there is a pcie switch, it doesn’t like.

Please move to test with the latest JetPack 5.1.1 release.

The boot gets stuck at the same place on Jetpack 5.1.1.

It is unlikely to check your issue if we cannot do local repro.

Based on the narrow down of the issue, I sense that some changes in the pcie kernel driver is affecting the bridge configuration resulting in halting the boot at this particular Micron 1TB NVMe capabilities recognition.
