Dear NV team,
We are facing bring up issue on a custom board with AGX Orin 64GB. Please see the log file as attached.
log.txt (128 KB)
Besides several errors like “phy_error+0x1c/0x60”, the following messages show the reason?
[ 24.405934] pwm-tegra-tachometer 39c0000.tachometer: Tachometer Overflow is detected
[ 44.493798] vdd-12v-sys: disabling
[ 44.493814] vdd-3v3-ftdi: disabling
What could cause the issue? Please note the fan is not mounted.
Thanks,
Andrew
Some updates:
done some changes, “phy_error+0x1c/0x60” disappeared. But Tachometer Overflow is still there and caused to disable 12V and 3.3V.
The symptom is, during boot up, we could see NV logo and messages, and then, 1) in several monitors, we could not see the ubuntu desktop; 2) in other monitors, we could see a “Attention” message that says “CANNOT DISPLAY THIS VIDEO MODE, CHANGE COMPUTER DISPLAY INPUT TO 1280x1024@60HZ”. After a while, ubuntu desktop will be displayed normally.
Please advise why Jetson outputs a non standard video format? Could it be caused by *Tachometer Overflow"? What could cause *Tachometer Overflow"?
Thanks
Andrew
Please be aware that you should at least tell more your carrier board. We don’t know your carrier board.
PHY error could mean your board is not using MGBE but as default software has it enabled, it comes error. Or your MGBE configuration/design has something wrong.
Also, we only deal with one issue at a time in each topic. You should file separate one for each of them.
For example, “CANNOT DISPLAY THIS VIDEO MODE, XXXXXXX” could be related to display setting but not ethernet.
Tachometer Overflow is also not related to PHY error.
Just focus on one issue first and file topics for others.
