While we can’t guarantee a smooth experience, some users have reported success with similar or even lower-spec GPUs for basic usage. Remember, for the best experience and full feature support, we recommend meeting or exceeding the official system requirements whenever possible.
The problem with only 6GB is that it can only handle very simple models and scenes. Any attempt to do more complex things will result in running out of VRAM. So yes, it technically may “work” on a fresh boot up and an empty or simple scene, but you will quickly run out of memory. We do recommend a minimum of 12GB of vram.
