I’m currently developing a human-robot simulation in Isaac Sim and was wondering if it was possible to attach a camera onto a simulated human to get their point-of-view, or if there was any other way to extract what the person’s is seeing from the simulation.
I would like the camera to follow the simulated person’s movement, so if they move around or if they turn their head, the camera will follow with them.
I’ve tried to attach a camera onto the human’s skeleton, but it doesn’t seem to completely replicate what the person is seeing. Is there any other strategy I could use to extract this data?
Welcome to the community @chenalb ! Could you please be more specific why attaching a camera onto human’s skeleton doesn’t replicate what the person is seeing? Is the camera seeing the view from a different angle? Do you want to camera to be placed at the human’s eyes exactly?
Yes, it seems to follow the human from another point, not from what the eyes are seeing exactly. I moved the camera to be at eye level, but it doesn’t exactly replicate what the human’s eyes are seeing.
