Cannot boot up Xaiver NX

The Xaiver NX development was fine before, the SD card was the same. But all the sudden, it is black screen when I turn it on last week, I have tried a new SD card and setup using SDK manager. But it is still black screen.

And I did the debug and I see
“fail to load mb1-bct bin”

I did follow this forum but there is no solution…

Hi,

some questions to confirm:

  • What is your target JP version?
  • What is your ubuntu version? 22.04?
  • What host you use to install sdk manager? docker/vm/ubuntu?

Hi,

Your questions do not really relate to my problem I think. The Xaiver NX was working before. That Jetson version in SD card is 5.x.x version.

For the new SD card
Just the newest. JP version, SDK is auto select
22.04
no vm simple installation.

Hi,

One more question to know:
Why sdk log show JP6.2?
Based on JetPack Archive | NVIDIA Developer, Xavier NX not support JP6.2.
Are you using Xavier Nx or Orin NX.?

The SDK is auto detect and install 6.2. What shall be the version?

Hi,

If you want to install latest JP version, please install JetPack 5.1.5 using manual flash.
Since your ubuntu version is 22.04, which sdk manager not support JP5.x. [referred]

Please download Driver Package (BSP) and Sample Root Filesystem from Jetson Linux | NVIDIA Developer.
And follow the Quick Start — NVIDIA Jetson Linux Developer Guide 1 documentation to flash.

If I find a 20.04 ubuntu computer, I can use SDK manager instead of going through all these, correct?
