Cannot use keyboard in jetson uefi firmware

I am using two sd cards and one of them starts automatically. But when I try to start from other sd card it doesn’t. And it says “Press ESC in 5 seconds to skip startup.nsh or any other key to continue.” then opens shell terminal but I cannot type anything with the keyboard.

Are they on the same SW version?
What’s the major different on both SD card?

I fixed the booting issue by installing the same version of jetpack image as jetson has to the sd cards. But the keyboard issue still persists.

Hi drmzkaan,

Are you using devkit from NVIDIA or custom board for Xavier NX?

Could you boot up into desktop successfully?
How about other USB devices if they could work? (like mouse)

I am using devkit from nvdia. After installing jetpack 4.6.1 from sdkmanager I can boot into up desktop. But USB ports don’t work until it boots ubuntu. So i cannot still open boot option that i need to press escape key.

For Jetpack 4.6.1, there’s no UEFI for boot menu.
Could you help to upgrade to current Jetpack5.1.1 through SDK Manager?

Yes, the issue that I faced was on the jetpack 5.1.1. That’s why I downgraded my jetpack version.

The devkit should work with Jetpack 5.1.1.
Have you tried other USB port or USB keyboards?
