Can't see new vGPU profiles after upgrading drivers/hotfix

I’ve executed the steps in Hotfix XS62ESP1005 - For XenServer 6.2.0 Service Pack 1, including the following:

  1. Install the referenced hotfix.
  2. Reboot the xenserver.
  3. Uninstall the NVidia driver.
  4. install the NVidia driver.

My vGPU’s are working, I just can’t see the new vGPU types. I’m specifically interested in the 220Q profile.

can you run "rpm –q NVIDIA-vgx-xenserver" on the host to determine the version of the vGPU Manager that is running?

You may have to run the update command instead of the install command.
rpm -Uv NVIDIA-vgx-xenserver-6.2-331.59.i386.rpm

NVIDIA-vgx-xenserver-6.2-331.59
[root@xxxx ~]# lsmod | grep nvidia

MichaelO, stealing your find from before:

“Customers using vGPU must re-install the NVIDIA GRID vGPU Manager for XenServer after applying the hotfix and after rebooting the hosts. Failure to do so will cause vGPU to stop working. For instructions on re-installing the NVIDIA GRID vGPU Manager, see Re-installing NVIDIA GRID vGPU Manager for XenServer later in this article.”

Please make sure that you install the required updates for XenServer as well

Hotfix XS62ESP1001 - For XenServer 6.2.0 Service Pack 1 as an example should be ok.
