Can't see Omniverse Code app in "Exchange" Tab

Hello everyone,
I’m a new Omniverse user and I would like to create some synthetic data using it.
I’ve installed Omniverse Launcher following the procedure described here.
It seems the installation process went fine but, when I go to the “Exchange” tab to install Omniverse Code (needed to work with Synthetic Data Generation) I can’t find that application in the list! I’ve also noticed that I can’t see other popular apps like Create and View.
I’ve tried both with a Windows 10 machine as well as Ubuntu 20, but in both cases I ended up in the same situation…
In the next screenshot you can see the list of apps that I can see in my “Exchange” tab.

Can you please tell me why I don’t have Omniverse Code in my “Exchange” tab and how can I solve this issue?
Thank you in advance for your support!

I am sorry but where are you getting the name Omniverse “Code” from ? A tutorial ? It is a really old name and it has been removed a while now. Just use Omniverse Kit

“Omniverse Code” is mentioned in the “Omniverse Replicator” tutorial from official nvidia tutorials, you can see it in the first line of the tutorial here and in the next screenshot.

Moreover it has a specific page in the Omniverse documentation (see here).
By judging these links it doesn’t seem an “obsolete” feature in my opinion :).

Could you please more specific in your answer, what do you mean by “use Omniverse Kit”? Can I use Omniverse replicator from Omniverse Kit?? From the official Replicator documentation it doesn’t seem so, citing documentation: Omniverse Replicator is exposed as a set of extensions, content, and examples in Omniverse Code and Isaac Sim. (citation from this link).

Could you please also confirm that the proper way to install Nvidia Omniverse is by the Launcher?? By looking at the installation tutorial page it seems that it is an “old” way and it will not be supported by the end of 2024, see next picture from nvidia omnivere install page.

Should I rather install Omniverse via the “Omniverse Kit SDK” option in the screenshot above?

Thanks again for your support!

Ok so when you say you are looking to produce some synthetic data, you need to use Replicator inside Isaac Sim. So download Isaac Sim and use Replicator inside of that.

To download the Launcher, just register and download the “Legacy Launcher” after you register. You will see a link for it.

Ok I will use Isaac Sim to generate synthetic data as you suggested.
However I think if Code is really getting obsolete, Nvidia should update the documentation accordingly.
Thank you for your time and support.
