Work Flow: Error occurred in a fresh pull of the repo upon running .\repo.bat build after creating a new template with .\repo.bat template new and specifying the application_display_name to “omniverse”. The kit-app-template was in the active user’s directory. All values except for version were set to “omniverse” as well, but it is unclear whether any other values create circular references.
Main Issue: Circular dependency in /template/source/apps .kit files when application_display_name is set to “omniverse”. Error persisted even after a new template was made until the folders specified in the global cache locations were deleted, the repo was deleted and reinstalled, and a different name was chosen for application_display_name when the first template was created.
Reproduction Steps: git clone the repo in the active user directory, cd into it, run .\repo.bat template new, set all names to “omniverse” (specifically application_display_name)
Error Code: 55
I understand, and it makes sense. Do not name your template with “omniverse” in the title.
