I am considering using Omniverse Enterprise and would like to clarify the licensing requirements for the following setup:
In our on-premises environment, we have three servers: A, B, and C.
Server A will host Nucleus.
Servers B and C each have a single GPU and will host Omniverse applications and services.
In this case, how many licenses are required? Would it be 2 licenses (for servers B and C with GPUs) or 3 licenses (including server A running Nucleus)?
Nvidia Omniverse is generally totally free to use and develop on. Once you go to the Enterprise model it is priced at $4,500 per GPU per year. In the scenario you are describing, it would be 3 licenses. One for each machine, A, B and C. Nucleus requires a license.
“You need an Omniverse Enterprise license when you have more than 2 users working on the same project content using an Omniverse-based application. If only 2 users are working on the same project content, they can use the free Omniverse for Individual licenses.”
“To run on computing environments or compute instances without an NVIDIA GPU, such as Nucleus, NVIDIA requires one OVE license for each computing environment or compute instance.”
