I was trying to flash my newly purchased Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit when I think I mistakenly shorted the wrong input (pins 9 and 10). Suddenly, I noticed smoke coming from a 5-pin transistor-like component labelled FA2JAR. I searched for its datasheet online but couldn’t find any component with that number. Can anyone tell me what it is?

To assist further, do you have a better picture showing the relative position of the damaged component on the board and PCB version of the board?
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your response. The board version I am using is JETSON-ORIN-IO-BASE Ver3.1 (please see the attached photo).
I recently purchased another carrier board and swapped the CPU along with the fan. However, after applying power, the board did not function as expected. The fan did not spin, and while the red LED turned on, it went off when I pressed the power button. Additionally, the M.2 LED flashed red, and the CPU became warm. I have confirmed that both 5V and 3V are present on the dedicated pins.
I would greatly appreciate your assistance in troubleshooting this issue, as I would like both boards to function properly. I have invested a significant amount in these purchases and need a solution.
Looking forward to your guidance.
Best regards,
Uche Nwoko
Thanks. Let me check and get back to you.
Is this a custom dev kit from one of our ecosystem partners?
Custom dev kit/board seems to be from WAVESHARE Jetson Orin Nano/NX AI Development Board, Waveshare Orin Nano/NX Development Board Based on Jetson Orin Nano and Jetson Orin NX module | JETSON-ORIN-IO-BASE . Recommend to reach out to them for further support.
Hello, thank you so much I have reach out to them and they have sent an instruction on how to fix the issues, I believe it will resolve it.
Kind Regards
Uche
