Problems turning on

Dear Jetson Support Team,

Good day!

I am reaching out to you with an issue concerning the Developer Kit with Jetson Orin NX 8GB. I turned off the device overnight as usual, but in the morning it failed to power on. The power indicator remains off, and the monitor displays nothing. I’ve noticed that the Orin board heats up and emits a faint beeping sound.

For diagnostic purposes, I replaced the Orin board with another one from a similar kit, and the system booted up successfully. However, upon checking the logs at /var/log/kern and /var/log/syslog, I found no anomalies, indicating issues directly with the Orin board itself.

Could you please provide recommendations on diagnosing and the possibility of repairing this board? I have several of these kits, and I would like to understand the cause of the problem to prevent its recurrence in the future.

Are you using the devkit or custom board for Orin NX?
What’s your Jetpack version in use?

Do you mean that you replace the Orin module or the carrier board?

Could you share the full serial console log at this moment?

At the moment my device is not responding to anything. the light does not light up. There are only logs from nvme. The device starts working only if you replace the orin board

Are you using “Jetson Nano devkit” or “Orin Nano devkit”?
They are different module and platform.

It seems you are using Orin NX module on Orin Nano devkit board.
Is my understanding correct?

Problem found. Most likely a factory defect. When connected for the first time, the ina3221 burned out, but the second time it was turned on, the orin board itself burned out. Yesterday I noticed smoke on one of the jetsons. The problem can be closed, we will send it to the seller for diagnostics. Thanks a lot.
