Confusion Regarding Labwork Submission in "Getting Started with Deep Learning

Hi,

I’m currently taking the “Getting Started with Deep Learning” course, and I’ve completed and saved the labwork. However, I noticed that my grade is still shown as 0. I’m unsure whether the labwork submissions are handled automatically or if the grades are only updated after completing the entire course. Could you please clarify the submission process and when the grades will be reflected?

Thank you for your assistance!

Hello,

Completion percentage is based on different factors depending on the type of section of the course. Text-based sections are marked as complete after viewing them for a few minutes. Video sections will be marked as complete after you finish watching the video (skipping to the end does not work), so this may impact the grading. Lab sections are marked as complete when you launch the lab, not based on running the cells in the notebook.

I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with the DLI labs. Actually, we are aware of some bugs with the Deep Learning portal where it does not track your progress well and may not accurately refelect your current progress or grade. We have contacted the hosting service we use for this courseware, and they are aware of this. They are working hard to try to fix it. I will go and ask for an update now and get back to you.

Hello,

For this particular course to receive a grade, you need to complete the final notebook, then return to the page where you clicked the “Launch” button and there should be an “Assess Task” button that you will need to click in order to receive the grade for that section of the course. The other labs in the course are not graded, but the final one is.

If you saved the notebooks and will be re-uploading them, please make sure that you run each of the cells first so that the notebook will be prepared for the assessment.
