Please see the following diagram for connecting a RFID reader to companion computer. I assume the diagram is calling the companion computer as pi-like computer. The data communication is through the USB on the RFID reader. What would the other of data connection be in Jetson Orin Nano? Do I need anything else to make the connection between the two? Any help is much appreciated.

You should be able to connect the specified “comm” port to one of the USB type A connectors on the Jetson Orin Nano Dev Kit. Depending on the requirement of the RFID reader for the power port, you may be able to connect to the Dev Kit also but note that the type A ports only supply 0.5A (2.5W). So you may need a separate power supply if the RFID reader requires more power.
