CUDA 7.5 issues with the GTX 980 Ti on Windows 10

I’m getting the “This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware” error when trying to install CUDA 7.5 (or 7) on Windows 10. I had no such issues when trying to install CUDA for the same device on Ubuntu 14.04. I currently have driver version 355.82 on Windows 10, but had the same error with earlier driver versions as well.

Just keep your existing driver and deselect the option to install the driver that comes with the CUDA 7/7.5 installer.
