Data Center Content Pack Installation

Hi

I’ve very new to Omniverse and trying to find my way. I’ve been trying to install the data center content pack ( Omniverse) however when tying to install I get an error “20:42:27.399 › Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '/home/xxxx/ov-datacenter3dpack-01-100.1.1/launcher.toml”.

Is the launcher.toml file supposed to be installed from another package or by default? Struggling to work out where I can source a launcher.toml file.

All pointers warmly welcomed! Thanks

Dan

You are trying to download a CONTENT PACK from Launcher ? Yes I see the Data Center pack. I just tried it and it downloaded fine. It was only 191mb. Try to download something else. Are you behind a firewall ? Heavy antivirus ?

Hi Richard - thanks for coming back to me.

I’ve been able to download the Linux version (also 191mb) which comes as a ZIP file; its during running the install from the cmd line that the launcher.toml file is reported missing.

I am on an air-gapped system so using an IT Managed Launcher set up and running the install via the custom URL protocol (i.e. omniverse-launcher://install?path=xxxx) but the issue appears to be at install time rather than downloading the .zip/package itself.

Is the launcher.toml something that would be pulled down at install over the Internet maybe rather than inc. in the Linux ZIP package?

Thanks

Dan

Do you have the launcher installed already ? Can you provide a screenshot of the error and logs if possible.

Hi Richard

I installed the launcher last week and been able to successfully install the USD Explorer application. Below is the output on the CLI when I run the install:

HI Dan,

If you’re using the IT Managed Launcher, you shouldn’t need to “install” the content packs within the Launcher once the zip files are downloaded, you should simply unpack them to your local system and either place them in a local Nucleus location, or local folder and point Omniverse directly to see them.

We have docs specifically for this process:
3D Content Pack Installation — Omniverse Launcher latest documentation (nvidia.com)

Feel free to let us know if something doesn’t make sense here.

Sincerely,

-=Beau
