Display problems with ubuntu on ASUS TUF Gamng

Hi,

I have a ASUS TUF GAMING A15 with RTX2050 graphic card. I installed ubuntu on it (ubuntu22.04.1 with 6.8.0.79 kernel) and some important display features are missing:

  • I can’t change the brightness; the brightness bar appears and the cursor move on it but the actual brightness is constant
  • more important I can’t connect another screen or use a beamer. It does nothing at all.

I tried ubuntu.24.10 before as well as various linux system without success. I saw I should install the proper drivers but which one? lshw and lspci command give nothing.

What could I do?

@bomble.laetitia since A15 is a notebook try installing the optimus-manager to control your Nvidia GPU.
