We are currently using MIPI CSI cameras on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin platform through the Argus camera framework (LibArgus), and our camera application is based on the Argus API.

Due to industrial project requirements, we are evaluating the NVIDIA IGX Thor T5000 SoM and designing a custom carrier board with this.

We would like to know:

  1. Does the IGX Thor T5000 SoM support the NVIDIA Argus camera framework in the same way as AGX Orin?
  2. Can existing Argus-based CSI camera applications developed for AGX Orin be migrated to Thor with minimal changes?
  3. Are MIPI CSI cameras supported through LibArgus on IGX Thor, or is NVIDIA recommending the SIPL camera framework as the primary camera software stack?
  4. If Argus is still supported, are there any limitations compared to AGX Orin that we should be aware of?

Our goal is to reuse our existing Argus-based camera solution while migrating from AGX Orin to the IGX Thor T5000 platform.

Any guidance on the recommended camera software path for IGX Thor would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, but for the JP7 need consult with camera partner to generate nito file for argus camera in current release.
