Does jetson orin nano have an optical flow accelerator?

While looking over the VPI documentation I found conflicting documentation on whether the orin nano has the optical flow accelerator as some pages say it should be included: VPI - Vision Programming Interface: Basic Concepts (nvidia.com) while others make it seem it is exclusive to the agx orin: VPI - Vision Programming Interface: Architecture (nvidia.com)

However, while using jtop on my orin nano I found that it mentioned the ofa under the eng page as shown above. as such I’m very confused on whether my orin nano includes an ofa or not? I would greatly appreciate any insights on this
Thanks!

Hello @kaditya25,

I found your question very interesting, I did a bit of looking around and found that the the OFA is present only on the AGX ORIN Data Sheet, while on the Orin Nano or NX Data Sheet it is never mentioned.

Given this, I would say that the OFA is only available for the AGX Orin boards.
I suppose the OFA shows on the jtop application because of how the app was developed.

Hope that helps.
But I would still be very interested to hear what an NVIDIA rep has to say.

Using the stereo disparity estimation sample included in VPI looks like the orin nano does indeed have an ofa since it works as a valid backend and jtop shows it as running when running the sample demo
