the entire pc is optimised for linux but my version of the xorg nouveau driver was working great before i updated through the nvidia/ubuntu ppas and i haven’t found a suitable driver that does not crash since i purged and updated, the initial driver was set by the kubuntu installation disk and worked great until i started playing linux os games in steam and decided the drivers were outdated

ran
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current-updates instead, adding updates to the command installed 304.137 like i wanted instead of without it it installed .135 but it just takes longer to crash now but i can play a few rounds so it’s manageable if any of you feel like actually helping or have an idea of whats happening or how to log it to a text file let me know
