Drivers newer than 295.75 causing blank screen on GF 9800 GTX

Hello all,

Im currently facing an issue with my GeForce 9800 GTX. After update, when Xorg server starts, primary monitor goes to suspend saying “No Signal”. CRT television on TV-OUT works fine. I can SSH to the copmuter and when I do so, this is output of my xrandr:

To get the system running again, I need to downgrade to 295.75 (it seems that anything starting with 3 does not work) and Xorg 1.12 as newer version does not work with these drivers (complaining about different ABI). If I try to run xrandr on working system, this is what I get:

The bold and underlined frequency - why is it so different? Could it be the case that the monitor cant handle it so it switches itself off? I have ACER AL2216W. Or is it something different?

Looks like you have some options set in xorg.conf that triggering this issue. Can you try with single display and minimum options in xorg.conf and reproduce this issue?

Filed Bug 1433057 to track this issue.

“ConnectedMonitors” option is not available in 295.75 therefore user’s xorg.conf is working on 295.75; “ConnectedMonitors” option override nvidia kernel module detected displays.
You are using option “ConnectedMonitors” with argument “CRT,TV” so X-driver reporting only two displays CRT and TV as connected, therefore DFP-0 gets blank.

If you want to use DFP-0, then you need to add “DFP-0” in “ConnectedMonitors” option.
