eDP/DP signal impedance issue

Hi,
According to the document Jetson_Xavier_NX_Product_Design_Guide_DG-09693-001_v1.4 in table 8-3, eDP or DP trace impedance provide 90ohm, 85ohm to choose, and notes write to “100ohm is the spec. target. 85Ω is preferable as it can provide better trace loss characteristic performance”.

  1. If not consider stack-up, material and trace dimension is low loss characteristic, which one should I choose? 85ohm? 90ohm? 100ohm?
  2. Three value difference? Advantages and disadvantages?

The requirement is 90 +/-15%. 85 is preferred.

  1. Three value difference?
  2. Has advantages and disadvantages?

85 is preferred as guide listed. The range of 90+/-15% is requested. You can just target to 85 ohm.
