Error while installing Jetpack 4.5.1 in Jetson AGX Xavier

I am trying to install Jetpack 4.5.1 using SDK manager method, but I am getting many errors(Not even a single thing was installed) while downloading and installing on target machine.

What should be the follow up?

Share the error log.

~/.nvsdkm/logs/ shall record them.

Here is the log file.
JetsonAGX_log (4.7 KB)

Can you share the information of your host?

That issue is resolved, I am facing a new issue now.

I am getting an error while installing SDK components on my Jetson AGX Xavier

What might be the reason?

Again, share the log… it is impossible to know what happens with just a “I am getting error” comment.

Also, please directly copy the whole directory as the tarball and attach it here. Not just a log file.

There isn’t any option to download log, since there is a pop-up to install SDK components onto the Jetson Xavier. If there is a method to get log please tell.

Could not connect to the target device. Verify that:

  1. The device is connected to this host machine with a USB cable.
  2. Ubuntu ‘System configuration wizard’ is completed on the device.
  3. Jetson’s Ubuntu OS is up and running.
  4. Jetson USB device mode service is started successfully.
  • See readme file in the auto-mounted “L4T-README” folder for more details.

~/.nvsdkm/logs/ is the place for the log…

If this is just you cannot get usb device mode get connected, then maybe you can use ethernet IP to send file.

USB device mode also requires your host to support. Unfortunately that some users’ host seems not able to have that interface. I will suggest directly use ethernet to do the work to save your time.

Here is the log file.

Just want to check. Can you share both of your ifconfig result on host and xavier?

Looks like the usb virtual eth interface does not work on your host.
Is your flash cable still connected on your host?

Can you hotplug that cable and share what is printed in your host dmesg?

which specific part of dmesg is required?

Just share what is new after you hotplug the usb cable.

And is your host machine has cdc_ncm and cdc acm driver installed? These driver should come out and setup the interface for you.

And, previously same host was used to flash, but while re-flashing I am getting this issue

Are you sure the dmesg you just shared is the full log?

I see the interface comes out as enp0s20f0u3i5 and enp0s20f0u3 but it seems they are not getting enabled.

For example, this is from my host when usb cable is connected.
